Pictures of lawn and landscapes maintained by Snow Hill Inc

This old railroad tie garden was neglected for several years, overgrown with weeds, and
most of the plants needed to be divided. After a thorough weeding, and with the plants divided back to healthy sizes, the
individual beauty of the flowers and overall garden can be enjoyed with a soft brown
						mulch backdrop

Before

After

The ornamental grasses in this railroad tie garden were choking themselves out and
badly needed to be divided The garden is now weeded and the ornamental grasses have been divided into healthy
clumps and are visible against the fresh natural brown mulch

These pictures are a major garden makeover in Alfred, N.Y. There was no maintenance to this garden for several years; it was overgrown with weeds and most of the flowers and ornamental grasses needed to be split. We removed almost all the plants and split them up, replanting and reorganizing the garden to feel less crowded and allow the plants to form a calm and enjoyable landscape. We removed all the weeds and mulched everything well after a good watering! Now with minimal regular maintenance it can be enjoyed for several more years before needing to be divided again.

In just two years these bushes and shrubs had become overgrown and overpowered the
landscape, weeds had also come back and hid the beauty of this little home in Alfred The shrubs and bushes trimmed, garden weeded, and freshly mulched

Before

This garden in Alfred, N.Y. was left for 2 years. It is amazing how fast the shrubs became overgrown and the weeds took over. We completely weeded it, trimmed the shrubs and bushes back to a manageable size and spread 2-3 inches of good natural brown mulch from a local supplier.

Before any work was done, this is an overgrown property on Main Street in Hornell,
NY, the gardens are overgrown with weeds, the shrubs have not been trimmed and the
ornamental tree in front has not been pruned. This property looked generally unkempt. After a Snow Hill Inc. makeover, the lawn is now trimmed, the gardens weeded, bushes
trimmed back and shaped into smooth spheres, the tree pruned, edging realigned and
upright, with a fresh layer of mulch as a backdrop for the lovely gardens, a beautiful
						landscape.

Another angle of this Main Street Hornell, New York property, this angle shows the
sidewalk overgrown by the lawn, and the general untidiness of the landscaping. The
flower beds are full of weeds, and the bushes are unshapely. After a Snow Hill Inc. renovation, this landscape looks vibrant, crisp and inviting! The
sidewalk is cleanly edged, the bushes are trimmed and shaped, the flowerbeds weeded
and there is fresh brown mulch covering the open areas of the garden. This makes for a
truly relaxing entry to this home.

These pictures are of a landscape makeover on Main Street in Hornell, N.Y. The edges of the gardens had not been edged in several years and the weeds were taking over. We weeded all the gardens, re-edged the sod with a spade and mulched everything with natural brown mulch. We also pruned the shrubs and small tree on the corner and edged the sidewalks.

This steep bank on an Alfred hill is overgrown with weeds, brush, and small trees. It is
completely uncontrolled and un-useful. The bank is now cleared and visible, ready for stage two in making this section of
the landscape usable and a contributor to the beauty of the home, the stones from the
hill have been dry stacked at the bottom of the bank to form a clear border and small
						retaining wall

Before

After

Like many ditches this one is overgrown with honeysuckle and weeds hiding the
propertys beauty from the road and creating a visual hazard when exiting the driveway The ditch is now clear and the property visible, there is also a clear line of sight into
oncoming traffic when exiting the driveway

This landscape is in Alfred, N.Y. We spent several days clearing brush from under the trees, behind the house, the front ditch, and a garden side hill by the house. This work was only stage one in a plan to gain back usable garden areas for both flowers and vegetables. Most of the brush and overgrowth was either multi-flower rose (an invasive bush in Western, N.Y.), or honeysuckle, also known for spreading very quickly and taking over a landscape.
